ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Foundation for the Study of Culture and Education ULS AAE
In March 2004 the University of Lower Silesia established the Foundation for the Study of Culture and Education of the University of Lower Silesia of the Association for the Advancement of Education. In September 2004, the Foundation was registered with the Polish Registry Court.
The Foundation aims to strengthen pluralistic democratic culture and civil society as well as to initiate international collaboration among various institutions and individuals in the area of research and education.
The Foundation’s aims include:
fundraising for research and educational activities, especially in the form of research fellowships, lectures, seminars, workshops and academic and public debates; financing academic programs run by the state institutions, and non-governmental and private organizations that promote pluralism and enlarge our knowledge of cultural diversity, with the further goal of introducing that knowledge into school and university curricula in the region;
collaborating with Polish and foreign individuals and institutions that have comparable aims and values; and,
issuing publications and promoting academic exchange of experiences within the scope of the Foundation’s aims.
The Foundation for the Study of Culture and Education ULS AAE consist of two bodies:
The Council Board (5 persons), which oversees the activities of the Foundation and its Executive Board, and,
The Executive Board (3 persons), which is responsible for implementing the Foundation’s primary goals.
